Cleaning:
The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, oil, grease, dust, and other contaminants. This can be done by sweeping, mopping, and, if necessary, using high-pressure cleaners or special cleaning agents.

Drying:
The floor must be completely dry before the primer is applied. Ensure that no moisture is trapped in the substrate, as this can impair adhesion.

Surface inspection:
Check the floor for cracks, holes, or other damage. These should be repaired to ensure an even coating with the primer.

Dust removal:
After sanding (if necessary), the floor should be thoroughly dusted again to ensure that no dust particles impair the adhesion of the new coating.

This careful preparation ensures that the primer adheres optimally and retains its effectiveness over a longer period of time.

To increase surface roughness and improve coating adhesion, it may be necessary to grind or abrade the surface. This also removes old coatings that could impair adhesion.

The following guidelines apply for the optimal temperature for applying the primer.

Recommended temperature range: Our primer should be applied at temperatures between 10 °C and 30 °C. This ensures that the primer adheres well and cures properly.

Avoiding extreme temperatures: At temperatures below 10 °C, the curing of the primer can be impaired, which may lead to poor adhesion and longer drying times. At temperatures above 30 °C, the primer may dry too quickly, which can also negatively affect adhesion and the final result.

Humidity: Air humidity also plays a role. High humidity can prolong the drying time, while low humidity can accelerate curing.

Floor and substrate temperature: The temperature of the substrate itself should also be considered. Ideally, it should be within the recommended temperature range to ensure that the coating adheres well.
